COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course aims to promote the correct diagnosis of the different skeletal malocclusions in children and their early detection and interception; through the application of the concepts of Cranio Mandibular Orthodontics and Dr. Sadao Sato.
The Pediatric Dentist and the Orthodontist will be able to diagnose and treat skeletal malocclusions through very simple mechanics, without interfering with the functions of the Masticatory System (without functional or lingual appliances) and without the need for the collaboration of the patient (first phase).
Orthodontists and Pediatric Dentists who really want to make a difference, because they will learn to prevent, intercept and treat severe malocclusions in children based on a very complete diagnosis (Cranio-Mandibular Orthodontics), with minimal equipment and without requiring the collaboration of the patient.

• Effectiveness of early orthodontic treatment. When to start?
• Occlusal causes of malocclusion
• Complete diagnostic process (models mounted in articulator) - Adaptation as a basis for the development of the craniomandibular system
• 3D repositioning of the mandible; articular, vertical and dento-alveolar compensation
• Occlusal overlays as an effective tool to control the growth of the jaw- Design and its placement in the mouth
• Characteristics of the use of Overlays for the correction of skeletal class II, class III, deep bite and mandibular lateral displacement (MLD)
• Clinical and laboratory manufacturing stages, main errors and their prevention methods
• Caring for children with TMD
